About this programme

The MSc in Cyber Security (Level 7) is a dissertation-based postgraduate programme intended for learners who have already completed the taught component of a Level 7 qualification or hold an equivalent postgraduate qualification. The programme focuses on developing advanced research, critical analysis, and problem-solving skills through an independent research project in a specialised area of cyber security. Students will identify a contemporary cyber security challenge, conduct an in-depth review of relevant literature, apply appropriate research methodologies, and produce a dissertation that demonstrates academic rigour and practical relevance. Entry requirements

🔘A Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computing, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline (or an equivalent qualification) from a recognised institution.
An equivalent postgraduate qualification with 120 Level 7 credits, enabling progression to the dissertation stage of an MSc programme.

🔘Relevant professional qualifications and/or significant industry experience may be considered on an individual basis, subject to the institution's Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy.
