About this programme

The BSc (Hons) Cyber Security (Top-Up) programme is designed to develop highly skilled cybersecurity professionals with the ability to analyse, manage, and respond to modern cyber threats. The programme focuses on developing technical expertise, critical thinking, and professional skills required to secure today’s digital environments.

Students will explore key areas including Digital Forensics, Risk and Cyber Security Management, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Advanced Networks, and Project and Professionalism. Through these modules, learners develop an understanding of cybercrime investigation, security risk assessment, threat analysis, network defence strategies, and cybersecurity governance.

The programme enables students to understand how organisations identify vulnerabilities, protect critical information systems, and respond effectively to cybersecurity incidents. Students will also develop professional project management, communication, and research skills required to work effectively in cybersecurity teams.

By combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications, this programme prepares graduates to address real-world cybersecurity challenges and contribute effectively to protecting organisations from cyber threats.
